DNI in 'DNI Electrical' are the initials of Dave, Natalie (his wife), and Izabella (his daughter) and the business has been operating since 1997.
Dave wanted his brand to represent his strong Māori-Pasifika background and retain the colours and arrow idea as these were a well recognised part of his existing identity.
I took the colours and shifted them around so there was a natural vignetted transition from red through to blue. I then redesigned the arrow using the koru shape in a more dynamic way and incorporated an outline for visual impact.
I designed a new font for the DNI lettering to aline it with the new arrow shapes...softening the overall look.
I then created signage graphics incorporating Te Reo Maori where applicable.
