Illustration based on the clever moving of the historic Bird Cage Tavern in Auckland City by using specially designed rollers that allowed the buidling to be incrementally rolled about to a distance of about 100 meters to allow for a motorway tunnel to be built underneath, and then carefully rolled back to it's original position... A magnificent feat of ingenuity and a project that definitely required QBE Insurance.
Illustration based the Christchurch Earthquake disaster in which many beautiful building including the Christchurch Cathedral were completely destroyed. As a temporary solution to the church, a cleverly designed cardboard cathedral was designed and will be built to replace the beautiful old cathedral thanks to QBE. This temporary solution will help Christchurch keep the faith while there new church is be designed.
